TPA XVIII
Redesigned | 3 Major Championships Won
Introducing the redesigned and precision milled TPA XVIII classic mallet. The design goals were simple. Include all the features a touring professional would desire and enhance the look of the original. The result is a 365g head boasting a much larger MOI reducing unwanted manipulation. The face of the putter has two critical features commonly overlooked. The face milling operation leaves the face with a beautiful and smooth finish. A smoother face reduces unwanted friction-caused sidespin and backspin. The face has also been milled using a technique creating a face with uniform thickness for better feeling off center strikes. Last but not least, few know of the original TPA 18-S model, which was a less offset ‘straight’ neck model. We didn’t pass on rebuilding that one either!

Smooth Milled Face
Touring professionals often practice with lined golf balls to visually see an end over end properly stuck putt. The more friction you place on the putter face the worse the ball will perform. Circular deep milled grooves increase side spin and horizontal grooves increase backspin. Topspin can be achieved, but one must strike upwards at a greater angle than the effective loft. Professionals average slightly less upwards force than loft, meaning their optimal putter would be a smoother face.
